Have you seen cherry blossoms in full bloom?
Last weekend, we took a quick 3-day trip to Washington DC and were fortunate to see the cherry blossoms at peak bloom (according to the National Parks Service).
It was crowded.
But so worth it. The walk around Tidal Basin, south of the National Mall, was a beautiful walk where you can enjoy the hundreds of cherry blossom trees lining the basin.
The blooms typically last for 1 to 2 weeks.
But the best time to see them is within the first 4 to 7 days.
I’ve been a long time fan of the Fujifilm x series of digital cameras.
In 2015, Fujifilm released the Fujifilm X-T10 camera, a compact mirrorless interchangable lens camera that was perfect for travel.
That was the camera that made me jump over from a traditional Canon DSLR camera over to Fujifilm.
One big thing I love about Fujifilm cameras is the film simulation feature that mimicks film stock that were once very popular in the film camera days.
The photos shared in this post are all straight out of camera JPEGs.
Fujifilm cameras make it super easy to download and share images that hardly need any editing if you get the settings right in camera by using your favourite film simulation.

If you haven’t seen cherry blossoms in full bloom, I highly recommend adding that to your travel bucket list.
